wild! and mesmerizing, Marco! Feels like stepping into a surreal fever dream where chaos and holiness keep trading places <3
Curious - when you wrote this, were you exploring the tension between destruction and creation? It feels like an entire cosmology compressed into a single breath.
Thank you! Iโm working on just letting myself be more absurd, and walking that fine line between chaos and order.
Honestly, I wrote this unconsciously and just went with feeling instead of thought. Following my intuition. But I think you might be onto something, something I hadnโt realized.
I feel like that tension is what I live day to day. Just the tension of walking the tightrope over the abyss. I canโt rely on any pre-established ideology to offer any sense of security. So in a way this is my act of defiance. And perhaps when we defy the absurdity of existence with our own absurdity we create something that breathes on its own.
Let me know what you think, because this is something I think would be worthwhile exploring. And maybe you can point out stuff Iโm not aware of, and I genuinely appreciate that type of feedback, it helps me question and understand my creations more, because usually I write to explore or experience things Iโve never experienced before, so thatโs probably why they all come out like fever dreams. ๐
"Writing with feeling instead of thought " - love that for you! And for all the writers that do the same. I think it's the way it should be! That's where the art happens, where intuition leads and reason just trails behind <3
And "defying the absurdity of existence with our own absurdity" - also love this!! I feel like I'm also very much rebellious, and with writing - rebellion can be transformed from something defiant into something alive, beautiful, almost romantic.
Indeed! I feel like Iโm walking into the uncharted regions beyond the โDead Endโ sign. And also itโs funny, but this morning I picked up an old notebook of mine, just kind of seeing what old thoughts and poems had fermented, and I found a Joseph Campbell quote that I wrote down like 4 years ago that I had completely forgotten about. It goes: โ In absence of an effective general mythology, each of us has a private, unrecognized, rudimentary, yet secretly potent pantheon of dream.โ
I think thatโs what Iโm tapping into when I write. My own potent pantheon of dream.
I guess we both just decided to go rogue and find our own way up the mountain. ๐
Wonderful imagery! I love the accompanying paintings!
Thank you! I am delighted. ๐โค๏ธ๐
